Auction Policies

A bid being placed on an auction item is an agreement to the auction terms and conditions as explained below. Pristine Auction is a JCK Enterprises L.L.C. company.

Bidder Registration:

All bidder's must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the auction. Pristine auction reserves the right to suspend a registered user and/or cancel the bid of a registered user for any reason.

Payment:

Payment is due in full within 7 days of the end of an auction (unless prior arrangements have been made). Payments can be made by Cash, Check, Money Order, or Credit Card. Check's and Money Orders will be held until cleared (typically 3-7 business days). We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). Credit card payments can be made directly through our website or by calling 602-626-5218. Appropriate shipping charges are added to each order. If payment has not been made manually within the 7 days, the credit card on file may automatically be charged for your order.

Buyer's Premium:

A 15% buyer's premium will be added to the final bid of each lot. The buyer's premium is displayed in each individual auction.

Bidding:

Minimum bid increment is 5% of the current high bid. Bids are accepted 24 hours a day directly through our website (www.pristineauction.com). Our site will automatically generate and send an e-mail when a bidder is outbid on an auction. This is provided as a courtesy service to our bidders and is a non-guarantee service. Although rare, it is possible for our site to encounter interruptions in service or malfunctions. We reserve the right to suspend, cancel, or extend auctions that have been affected by such an occurrence. At the end of each auction, winning bidders will be notified as soon as possible via e-mail. In order to ensure delivery of all of our e-mails, please add sales@pristineauction.com to your address book.

Extended Bidding:

Our auction timer corresponds with Eastern Standard Time. All auctions are set up with a 10 minute extended bidding period. The extended bidding period is initiated once an auction countdown is below 10 minutes. During the extended bidding period, all new bids reset the auction countdown to 10 minutes. An auction ends when no new bids are entered for a full 10 minutes. Each auction is on an independent timer so auctions will end at different times.

Returns:

All items are shown and described to the best of our ability. Please ask any necessary questions before placing a bid. We make every effort to pay our consignors within 30 days, therefore returns must be made within 25 days. The 25 day return period starts from the day the auction ends. Items must be back in our possession before the expiration of the 25 day return period. Items can be returned for authenticity purposes only if they have been reviewed and rejected by an acceptable authenticator. Acceptable authenticators are as follows: PSA/DNA, JSA, Global Authentics, or PAAS. Acceptable authenticator for game-used items are as follows: PSA/DNA, Grey Flannel, Mears, and Lou Lampson. A letter of rejection from an acceptable authenticator must accompany any item being returned for authenticity purposes. Items already authenticated by a third party authenticator may not be returned. Shipping costs are not refundable. Third party authentication fees will not be reimbursed under any circumstances.

Reserve:

We reserve the right to place a reserve on auctions. Reserves are determined before the start of an auction. If bidding does not meet or exceed the predetermined reserve price, the lot will be returned to the consignor or relisted into a future auction.


Auction Cancellation:

We reserve the right to cancel an auction at any time for any reason.

Disputes:

If any disputes arise, legal action will go before the AAA (American Arbitration Association) and will take place in Arizona. By bidding on the auction (and thus agreeing to our auction policies) the right to trial by jury in any and all legal disputes is forfeited.

Consignment:

We charge a flat consignment fee of 15%. In some cases, lower consignment fees are available. Please contact us with the details of your collection! Consignment items are fully insured from the moment we receive them until they are in the hands of the buyer.

  • As a consignor you agree to fully entrust Pristine Auction with your consigned items. We agree to submit proper payment for the consigned items based upon their performance in our auction. Any unsold items will be entered into the following auction or returned to the consignor. All items will be live for the auction's duration and will be sold to the high bidder unless a reserve was not met. Reserve prices must be preapproved and set prior to the start of the auction.

    In some cases consigned items are reviewed by leading third party authenticators. Because of our relationship with these authenticators we receive heavily discounted rates for their services. As a consignor, we pass these discounts on to you. Authentication fees start at $6 per item (not to exceed $100 per item). Pristine Auction will cover the initial authentication fee(s) and deduct the amount from the corresponding consignment check. There will be no authentication fee for items that fail the authentication process and these items will be returned to the consignor. The consignor is responsible for the return shipping cost.

  • Autographed sports, celebrity, and historical memorabilia.
  • Sports cards - current and vintage.
  • Desirable unsigned collectibles in the category of sports, celebrity, and historical.
  • Animation Art.
  • What we DO NOT accept:

    • Items of questionable authenticity.
    • Pornographic or erotic material.
    • Items with little or no resale value.

    We reserve the right to reject a consignment item for any reason.
