Joe DiMaggio was born November 25, 1914. Also nicknamed the “Yankee Clipper,” he is most known for hitting in 56 straight games in 1941 while playing for the NY Yankees. His Major League career spanned from 1936-1951. Selected as MVP three times, he ended his career with a .325 batting average and 361 home runs. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1955.
