Born in Tacna, Peru in 1960, Edgar Barrios graduated from the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes de Peru in 1990. In addition to painting, Barrios has been a student of craftsmanship, batik, macrame, leather embossing, ceramics, and has taken part in numerous exhibitions in and around Peru.
