The Classic Liberty $2.5 Gold Coin, otherwise referred to as the Classic Head Quarter Eagle, is a gold coin that was produced by the U.S. Mint from 1840 to 1907. The coin features the portrait of Liberty on its obverse and an eagle on the reverse. These beautiful gold coins are comprised of 90 percent gold and 10 percent copper. They contain .12094 ounces of gold.
