“FERRARI 250” measures approximately 25.25" x 36" in size, Original Oil painting on linen has been hand-painted by the artist Rodney Weng.

If any single car can truly represent the Ferrari legend, it would be the Ferrari 250 GT SWB. This is one of history’s great “dual-purpose” machines, a car that could be driven to the racetrack, win the class or the race outright, then driven home. The Ferrari 250 GT SWB was the culmination of Ferrari’s continual development and refinement of the 250 engine and chassis in the second half of the 1950s. It also represented Pinin Farina’s ongoing experimentation with the berlinetta (fastback) theme that started with 1947’s Ferrari Cisitalia 202. The result was a shape so pure, so well-balanced that Sergio Pininfarina called it “the first of our three quantum leaps in design with Ferrari.”

Rodney Weng (Yang) is one of the most sought-after and distinguished contemporary artists living today. He is known for his unusual painting manner and a powerful emotional impact his artworks have on a human soul. Yang captures the emotion and the essence in this original oil painting “FERRARI 250“. It is hand painted on linen uniquely hand-signed by Rodney Weng (Yang) both in Chinese and English.

A man of great talent and imagination, he tries to find inspiration in simple things that can sometimes hold more meaning than the loudest words. Looking for new impressions and fresh ideas, Yang has traveled to numerous countries taking in everything he saw to tell it in the language of color on one of his bright, eye-striking canvasses. Creative, cheerful and dreamy like himself, they convey a strong positive message filling your heart with peace, harmony, and delight. At times Yang will paint alike images of those he enjoys to produce, using his outstanding craftsmanship to create these works of art.

Hand Painted on Linen

Linen is strong and durable and remains the preferred surface for many artists but it is expensive. It is made from the fibers of the flax plant and top quality flax is harvested mainly in Western Europe. If you want your painting to last then a linen canvas is a sound investment. The threads that makeup linen, known as the warp and weft threads, weigh the same, which means they are less prone to expansion or contraction due to moisture. Linen retains its natural oils, which helps to preserve the fiber’s flexibility and stops the canvas from going brittle. It is also regarded as having a more ‘natural’ weaved finish than cotton – a variety of textures and weights are available in both rough and smooth finishes. Because of its strength linen holds up to a heavy painting hand and does not become slack as easily as cotton canvas.
