Custom frame measures approximately 14.5" x 13" in size and features a Circa 1786 "L'Amerique Septentrionale divisee en ses principaux etats" Map of North America. Please note, the frame is chipped in some places.

A map of North America showing the principal American States and the possessions of Spain and France. Of cartographic interest is the depiction of a speculative North-west passage and of a mythical inland sea (Mer de L'Ouest) below present-day Alaska. Archivally matted and framed.
