Although Ken Shotwell spend the first decade of his professional life working with NASA in systems design and nuclear engineering, when he entered the arts world, he was immediately lauded for his work. In his first three years as a self-proclaimed artist, three and a half million copies of his work were sold and displayed in the USA (including the corporate headquarters of major US companies), as well as in China and Russia. With this success, the New York Times named him the “World’s Top Selling Creator of Prints” (April 1988).

Ken Shotwell uses pseudonyms when he paints, includes “Lesle Louken” which he often uses for his art deco works, and “Chain Chatell” which he often applies to his pastoral scenes. Passionate about his art, not about his fame, Ken Shotwell describes his success as a “series of Fate twists.”

The lot / autograph(s) includes a LOA and lifetime authenticity guarantee from Pristine Auction.
