The piece also includes multiple premium plaques with one including the iconic Roosevelt quote "If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn't sit for a week."

The document featured in this display is an original consular appointment of John Kehl, a lifetime diplomatic servant.

Theodore Roosevelt was the 26th President of the United States and so distinguished himself that he was chosen as one of the American leaders on Mt. Rushmore. From his charge of the Rough Riders up San Juan Hill, to his bullish approach to life, Teddy was an American Icon who represented the common people. He established the "Square Deal" to protect common man, won the Nobel Peace Prize, the Medal of Honor, facilitated the construction of the Panama Canal, and put Conservation at the highest priority by establishing the US Forest Service and the first five National Parks. His most notable accomplishment may have been the whimsical naming of a child's most precious companion, the Teddy Bear, after him.

The lot / autograph(s) includes a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Auction House LOA for authenticity purposes.
