"Ukelela" is a limited edition lithograph on paper by Mara Tranlong, numbered and hand-signed by the artist! Measures approx. 22" x 30" (border), 18" x 24" (image).
Born in 1935 in Montauban, France is a master of painting the human form in a style of primitive art. Tranlong's long and continuous brush strokes make the color patches distinctive on the surface of the canvas. The colors are warm and reverberating. Although the space is two instead of three-dimensional, it is by no means flat. It creates the effect of transfigured clouds or a wild dream.
