This beautiful ring is from the Erte’ Silver Collection. "Luna" reveals the influence of the sea on the son of an admiral. The shape of this ring suggests a seashell. The tiny scallops on their surface like overlapping scales. The detailing and filigree work are also reminiscent of the grand headdresses which Erte' loved to create. The title "Luna" refers to the moon and relates to the bizarre totality of the design ~ its "other-worldliness" as referred to by Erte'. This item has the Erte’ name engraved on the inside of it, and is numbered “ in a limited edition of 500"

Erte' had a tremendous affinity for the sea and spent much of his time in Monte Carlo, Majorca and Barbados. "La Mer" is a stylized interpretation of the fluted shells found along the seashore.
