The 1985 NBA All-Star Game had its usual share of star power, featuring a sprinkling of future Hall of Famers on both squads. The game held in the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis on 2/10/85 was won by the Western Conference, 140-129, in a game where Ralph Sampson captured MVP honors. He scored 24 points and Isiah Thomas scored 22 to lead the East. At the time, it was the biggest crowd (43,146) to ever witness an NBA All-Star Game. But the storyline that will be remembered most in this game was that it marked the All-Star Game debut of Michael Jordan. He started for the East and scored seven points with six rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes. He would go on to play in the event 13 more times, earning game MVP honors in 1988, '96 and '98.
