"Presented is a hand-signed 8x10 photograph by Colonel Clarence Emil “Bud” Anderson (1922–2023), signed in permanent marker. The autograph has been authenticated by PSA/DNA and comes with their Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring both authenticity and long-term preservation.

Bud Anderson was one of the most accomplished and respected fighter aces of the U.S. Army Air Forces in World War II. Assigned to the 357th Fighter Group, known as the “Yoxford Boys,” Anderson flew the P-51 Mustang on long-range escort missions deep into enemy territory. By the end of the war, he had been credited with 16¼ aerial victories in over 100 combat missions—all without ever being hit or losing a wingman in combat.

Renowned for his skill, discipline, and leadership, Anderson became one of the leading Mustang aces of the European Theater. He earned numerous decorations, including the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal, and remained a symbol of the Mustang’s dominance in the skies over Europe.

After the war, Anderson continued a distinguished career as a test pilot and later as a U.S. Air Force officer, rising to the rank of colonel. His memoir, To Fly and Fight, is considered a classic in aviation literature, recounting both his wartime experiences and his lifelong dedication to aviation. In 2022, Anderson was promoted to the honorary rank of brigadier general, a fitting recognition of his extraordinary service.
