"Offered is a hand-signed 8x10 photograph by Colonel Kenneth S. Collins (b. 1931), signed in permanent marker. The autograph has been authenticated by PSA/DNA and is accompanied by their Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring both authenticity and collector confidence.

Kenneth Collins is a highly decorated U.S. Air Force officer and test pilot best known for his pioneering work with the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird and other cutting-edge reconnaissance aircraft developed under the famed Lockheed “Skunk Works” program. Earlier in his career, Collins distinguished himself as a combat pilot, flying the F-86 Sabre during the Korean War. Selected for the elite cadre of test pilots in the 1960s, he became one of a handful of men entrusted with the nation’s most advanced and secret aircraft.

Collins flew the A-12 Oxcart and later the SR-71 Blackbird, the fastest and highest-flying jet ever built, capable of sustained speeds above Mach 3 at altitudes exceeding 80,000 feet. In recognition of his service, he was awarded the Air Force Cross, the nation’s second-highest decoration for valor, as well as numerous other commendations for bravery and excellence in aviation.

This signed 8x10 photograph, authenticated and accompanied by PSA/DNA’s Certificate of Authenticity, offers collectors a direct link to one of the select aviators who flew America’s most legendary reconnaissance aircraft during the height of the Cold War.
