Offered is a hand-signed 8x10 photograph by Major Jefferson J. DeBlanc (1921–2007), distinguished U.S. Marine Corps fighter ace and Medal of Honor recipient.

The autograph has been authenticated by PSA/DNA, with their official authentication sticker affixed to the photograph, ensuring both verification and long-term preservation.

Jefferson DeBlanc earned his place among America’s most heroic aviators for his extraordinary actions on January 31, 1943, while flying a Grumman F4F Wildcat with Marine Fighting Squadron 112 (VMF-112) during a mission over the Solomon Islands. Tasked with escorting bombers over enemy territory, DeBlanc’s formation came under fierce attack by Japanese fighters. Despite sustaining damage to his aircraft and running low on fuel, he shot down five enemy planes in a single engagement before bailing out over enemy waters.

DeBlanc was rescued days later by local islanders and Allied coastwatchers. For his unmatched courage and determination under overwhelming odds, he was awarded the Medal of Honor, presented by President Harry S. Truman in 1946. His valor made him one of the few aviators to earn America’s highest military decoration for air combat and confirmed his status as one of the Marine Corps’ most accomplished aces, credited with nine aerial victories in total.

After the war, DeBlanc continued to serve his country in education and public speaking, inspiring future generations with his accounts of duty, sacrifice, and integrity.

This PSA/DNA authenticated 8x10 signed photograph represents an exceptional opportunity to own the autograph of a true American hero—a Marine fighter ace whose bravery and selflessness embody the highest traditions of the U.S. Armed Forces.
