Presented is a hand-signed 8x10 “Invasion Map” photograph commemorating D-Day, June 6, 1944, personally autographed in ink by five distinguished World War II veterans: Bob Bearden, Peter Fantacone, Don Jakeway, Bernard Nolan, and Colonel Clarence E. “Bud” Anderson. The photograph has been authenticated by PSA/DNA and is accompanied by their Letter of Authenticity, ensuring both verification and long-term preservation.

This historically significant piece honors the courage of the soldiers, airmen, and sailors who took part in Operation Overlord, the largest amphibious invasion in history, which marked the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe from Nazi occupation. Each signer contributed to the success of that monumental campaign—on the ground, at sea, and in the air.

Bob Bearden served as a paratrooper with the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, parachuting into Normandy behind enemy lines in the early hours of D-Day. Captured and later escaping, Bearden exemplified the resilience and determination of America’s airborne troops.

Peter Fantacone served aboard the USS Corry (DD-463), a destroyer assigned

to bombard German coastal defenses off Utah Beach. When the Corry was struck and sunk by enemy fire, Fantacone helped rescue shipmates under relentless attack—an enduring act of courage at sea.

Don Jakeway, also of the 82nd Airborne Division, jumped into Normandy during the opening hours of the invasion and later fought through the Netherlands and the Battle of the Bulge. Wounded multiple times, Jakeway’s service spanned the most pivotal European campaigns of the war.

Bernard Nolan served with the U.S. Army Air Forces, supporting airborne and bombing operations over occupied Europe. His unit’s role in establishing air superiority and disrupting German reinforcements was vital to the invasion’s success.

Colonel Clarence E. “Bud” Anderson flew P-51 Mustangs with the 357th Fighter Group, providing crucial air cover for the Normandy invasion and subsequent operations over France. A triple ace with 16¼ aerial victories, Anderson’s mastery of the skies earned him a place among America’s most accomplished fighter pilots.

This extraordinary multi-signed 8x10 invasion map photograph unites the authentic signatures of five men whose combined service—from the air, land, and sea—helped shape the outcome of World War II. It stands as both a collector’s treasure and a tribute to the valor of the Greatest Generation.

Signers: Bob Bearden (507th PIR, 82nd Airborne), Peter Fantacone (USS Corry DD-463), Don Jakeway (82nd Airborne Division), Bernard Nolan (U.S. Army Air Forces), Col. Clarence E. “Bud” Anderson (357th Fighter Group, USAAF)
