Presented is a hand-signed 8x10 photograph by Colonel Leonard “Kit” Carson (1923–1994), distinguished World War II fighter ace and P-51 Mustang pilot. The autograph has been authenticated by PSA/DNA and comes with their Letter of Authenticity, ensuring both verification and long-term preservation.

Leonard “Kit” Carson was one of the most accomplished U.S. Army Air Forces aces of the European Theater, serving with the famed 357th Fighter Group, nicknamed the “Yoxford Boys.” Flying the legendary North American P-51 Mustang, Carson became the group’s top-scoring ace, credited with 18.5 aerial victories and several more destroyed on the ground. His leadership, tactical mastery, and relentless pursuit of enemy aircraft made him one of the most respected Mustang pilots of the war.

Assigned to the 362nd Fighter Squadron, Carson flew his combat missions from England deep into German airspace, engaging enemy fighters in escort and offensive operations. In the latter stages of the war, he became the Group Operations Officer, responsible for planning and leading escort missions for Allied bombers over heavily defended territory.

For his valor and skill in aerial combat, Carson was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Air Medal, among other honors. His name remains synonymous with the elite cadre of P-51 Mustang aces who helped secure air supremacy over Europe in 1944–45.

This PSA/DNA authenticated and signed 8x10 photograph offers collectors an exceptional opportunity to own the autograph of a true American air combat legend, whose achievements in the P-51 Mustang symbolize courage, precision, and excellence in aerial warfare.
