Steve Ritchie is one of America’s most celebrated fighter pilots and the only U.S. Air Force ace of the Vietnam War. Flying the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II, Ritchie achieved five confirmed aerial victories over North Vietnamese MiG fighters between May and August 1972 as part of the elite 555th “Triple Nickel” Tactical Fighter Squadron.
