The Steel Curtain was the nickname given to the famous Pittsburgh Steelers defense during the 1970's. This defensive unit was the backbone of the Steelers dynasty that won four Super Bowl Championships. In the 1976 season the Steel Curtain held their opponents scoreless five times including three consecutive.
