Personal bank check has been filled out by hand and hand-signed in black ink by Tupac Amaru Shakur "2Pac" (D 1996).
Tupac sold over 75 million albums worldwide as of 2010, making him one of the best selling music artists in the world. The themes of most of Shakur's songs revolved around the violence and hardship in inner cities, racism and other social problems. During the latter part of his career, Shakur was a vocal participant in the so-called East Coast–West Coast hip hop rivalry, becoming involved in conflicts with other rappers, producers and record-label staff members, most notably The Notorious B.I.G. and his label Bad Boy Records. On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was taken to the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, where he died six days later.
Authentic Tupac Shakur autographs are exceedingly rare with only a handful ever hitting the market. The autograph includes an official James Spence Authentication (JSA) hologram and matching LOA for authenticity purposes.
The lot also includes a signed 6" x 7" photo from Tupac's manager, Atron Gregory. The Gregory photo includes a JSA hologram on the reverse side along with a matching COA.
Authentication: JSA LOA
