"The Great Magnolia" measures approximately 36" x 48" x 3" in size. Hand-signed by original artist Nicholas Yust. The medium used is ground, plasma cut and torched stainless steel with a hand-ground texture, oxide torch coloring, and hand-layered clear coat. The wall hanging is sculptural with 3" relief. The metal has been bent to create a warped and weathered appearance.

About the artist:

Nicholas Yust is a metal artist in Cincinnati, Ohio who specializes in contemporary metal wall art and sculptures. With undergraduate studies in Fine Art and Art history, a bachelor's degree in materials engineering, and a master's degree in metallurgical engineering, his education and artistic gifts have uniquely qualified him to be one of the premier contemporary metal artists today.

With all of the fine detail, creative structure, precise symmetry and contemporary appeal that has become synonymous with Nicholas's artwork, the most impressive and defining element is the unique signature grind patterns that really give his work the "wow" factor. He has perfected the use of transparent acrylic paints which allow his beautiful grind patterns to be seen through a spectrum of colors and creating an indescribable holographic 3-dimensional effect.
