"All America Baseball Team" custom framed document measures 22" x 24" in size. Hand-signed by (12) including Babe Ruth (D. 1948, Yankees, HOF), Christy Walsh (D. 1955), Bud Shaver and (9) others.

In an effort to promote Babe Ruth as well as other leading baseball players from the 1920s, Christy Walsh, Ruth’s super-agent, developed the All-America Board of Baseball. These ornate certificates were issued to the most deserving players in professional baseball each year with Ruth's signature, along with those of a board of sports writers and his agent Christy Walsh until Ruth's death in 1948. Offered here is the 1928 certificate awarded to Ruth's teammate Waite Hoyt. This is truly one of the finest examples ever offered, while most examples have not withstood the test of time, this particular example remains like new with just a faint horizontal fold and wear to the foil seal leaving the only hints that this piece was issued nearly 90 years ago! This certificate has been in a private collection for nearly 20 years and has been archivally framed and triple matted behind museum-quality glass to an overall size of 22" x 24". Babe Ruth, nicknamed "the Bambino" and "the Sultan of Swat", played Major League Baseball for the Red Sox, Yankees, and Braves over his 22 season career (1914-1935). Ruth was a 7x World Series Champion and 12x AL Home Run Champion. Ruth's career slugging % of .690 is a record that still holds today. He finished his iconic career with a .342 batting average, 2,873 hits and 714 Home Runs.
