Drew Brees after five seasons quarterbacking the San Diego Chargers joined the New Orleans Saints in 2006 and in 2008 he threw for a league-leading 5069 yards and 34 TDs. Brees stats and leadership played a major role in the Saints starting off the 2009 season 13-0 and eventually finishing it with a 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in SB XLIV. Drew Brees was named the SB SLIV MVP throwing for 32-39 for 288 yards and 2 TDs to go along with a 114.5 passer rating.
