1954 first ever issue of Sports Illustrated magazine has been hand-signed in blue felt-tip pen by Eddie Mathews (D. 2001, Braves HOF).

Sports Illustrated has been the premiere sports magazine in the United States for decades as they cover a wide range of sports news on and off the field. Eddie Mathews was a phenomenal player who stuck with the Braves organization from when they were the Boston Braves until they reached their final and current home in Atlanta. He became a two-time World Series Champion and a 12-time All-Star during his career. He would later be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1978.

The lot / autograph(s) includes an official James Spence Authentication (JSA) hologram and matching COA for authenticity purposes.
