Montana started his NFL career in 1979 with the San Francisco 49ers, where he played for the next 14 years of his career. Seen as the face of the 49ers, Montana led them to four Super Bowls and won three Super Bowl MVPs. He is the only player to have been named Super Bowl MVP three times. Joe Montana was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000 in his first year of eligibility.
