Steven Spielberg Rare Signed Letter Display with Excellent "Schindler" Content

Undoubtedly one of the most influential film personalities in the history of film, Steven Spielberg is perhaps Hollywood's best known director and one of the wealthiest filmmakers in the world. Spielberg has countless top grossing, critically acclaimed credits to his name, as producer, director and writer. Spielberg won the Academy Award for Best Director for “Schindler's List” (1993) and “Saving Private Ryan” (1998). Three of Spielberg's films, “Jaws” (1975), “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” (1982), and “Jurassic Park” (1993), achieved box office records, each becoming the highest-grossing film made at the time. To date, the unadjusted gross of all Spielberg-directed films exceeds an astounding total of $8.5 billion worldwide. In addition to being an accomplished filmmaker, Spielberg stands out as one of Hollywood’s most prolific humanitarians, and his film, “Schindler’s List,” has often been deemed by Spielberg as his greatest creation, as it shed a strong light on the atrocities and injustice of the Holocaust.

Presented here in this custom framed display is an exceedingly rare combination of two documents direct relating to Spielberg’s endeavors with the film and the Holocaust itself. The centerpiece of this display is a terrific typed letter from Spielberg, sent by him to a Mr. Robert White upon receiving a signature from Oskar Schindler as a gift. Spielberg, moved by the gesture, writes in full: “Allow me to express my heartfelt thanks to you for the Schindler autograph which I know is rare and important. Your kindness in sending it to me is much appreciated. It hangs in my office where I am reminded each day that one man can make a difference in this world and that all of us much try to do so.” The letter is concluded with a handsome black ink signature from Spielberg and is in excellent condition. Also accompanying Spielberg’s letter is a follow-up letter from the Survivors of the Shoah Committee (for which Spielberg is Chairman) further thanking White for his gesture. Beautifully custom matted along with an image of Spielberg, an image of the “Schindler’s List” movie poster, and housed in a tasteful black lacquer finish frame. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Third-Party autograph authentication firm PSA/DNA.
