This offered Houston Astros batting practice jersey was game worn by J. R. Richard during the 1970's. The blue knit pullover garment features proper "W. A. Goodman & Sons" tagging. The jersey displays moderate wear. Hand-signed on the back number in black felt tip pen.

A blue knit pullover garment with multi-color stripe patterns lining the shoulders. In white, "Astros" appears across the chest while a white-on-orange five-point star is heat pressed to the lower left front. Also in white, "50" appears on the back and "RICHARD" is arched just above. The left front tail is home to a "W.A. Goodman & Sons" size "50" label, as that Los Angeles-based tailor provided uniforms to the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers (among others) during that era. There are no repairs or alterations, though it appears as though a tag has been removed from within the V-neck collar.

The jersey includes a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Auction House LOA for authenticity purposes.
