This yellow stamped envelope was signed in ink pen by United States Army, Calvary, and American Civil War General George Custer (D. 1876).

General Custer famously died during one of the Indian Wars on June 25, 1876, while leading the 7th cavalry at the "Battle of Little Bighorn" which will forever be known as "Custer's Last Stand".
