Pedro Martinez was an eight-time All-Star. He establishing himself as one of the most dominant pitchers in history. He won three Cy Young Awards (1997, 1999, 2000), posting a cumulative record of 118–36 (.766) with a 2.20 ERA. In 1999 he was runner-up for the AL MVP Award after winning the pitching Triple Crown with a 23–4 record, 2.07 ERA and 313 strikeouts. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015.
