Custom frame measures approximately 24" x 26" in size and features an original envelope, dated May 16, 1857, that has been hand-signed by Abraham Lincoln (D. 1865). The display also includes an Abraham Lincoln medal and a $1 coin.

Up for auction is an exceedingly rare authenticated PSA encapsulated Abraham Lincoln document entirely in his hand. With documents being broken up into single words, complete documents are scarce. This note, written in 1857, contains more than thirty words and the signature of A. Lincoln. The document was written during the time Abraham practiced law and he and his wife Mary lived in Springfield, Illinois near the time of the famous Lincoln-Douglas debates.

The encapsulation is in a 26" x 24" UV glass museum framed triple matted display and a gold filigree margin. Within the frame is an 8x10 colored Patriotic print of Lincoln and the flag, a 7" x 7" B&W period photo of Abraham Lincoln near the time of the note. Also includes a commemorative Medal of the Civil War (April 13th, 1861 - May 9th, 1965), a bronze Lincoln medal, and historical plaques with pertinent dates and famous Lincoln quotes.

The display was created as the preeminent display in your home and for generations to enjoy. A plaque under the 8x10 says "Government of the people, by the people, for the people. shall not perish from the earth." - A. Lincoln.

The encapsulated note says in full: "Received, May 16, 1857, of Joshua F Amos, administrator of the estate of Nathaniel Hay deceased, two hundred and twenty-five dollars in full of all my demands against said estate." - A. Lincoln.

The item / autograph(s) has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA for authenticity purposes.
