This Manny Mota International Foundation trophy was awarded posthumously to Los Angeles Dodgers’ great Don Drysdale who suffered a fatal heart attack on July 3, 1993, just two months prior to the ceremony. The acrylic award, which measures 17” tall, shows a head shot of Drysdale sporting his Dodgers’ cap centered inside a translucent baseball diamond. On the base of the award is an engraved black plaque that reads: “MANNY MOTA INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION August 29, 1993.”
