William Morris Agency contract dated July 14, 1959 has been hand-signed by "The Three Stooges", with Larry Fine (D. 1975), Moe Howard (D. 1975), and Joe DeRita (D. 1993). Please note, the contract shows some minor signs of wear.

The Three Stooges were an iconic comedy team that was together in different iterations from 1922 until 1970. Six stooges appeared at various times but never more than three together. These included Moe Howard, and Larry Fine as mainstays, and the third stooge in order of appearance was played by first Shemp Howard, then Curly Howard, Shemp Howard again, Joe Besser and finally “Curly” Joe DeRita. Together they made 220 films of which 190 were short features. These movies were first televised in 1958 and have continued to be viewed today. Their performances were consequently viewed by large audiences and their popularity soared. Since these movies are still shown, new fans are enjoying their slapstick antics and crazy humor.

Featured in this auction is a rare contract signed on July 14th, 1959 by the last of the Three Stooges crew, Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Joe Besser, obligating them to the William Morris talent agency. This is a fine historical collection of comedians for your enjoyment.
