Babe Ruth, nicknamed "the Bambino" and "the Sultan of Swat", played Major League Baseball for the Red Sox, Yankees, and Braves over his 22 season career (1914-1935). Ruth was a 7x World Series Champion and 12x AL Home Run Champion. Ruth's career slugging % of .690 is a record that still holds today. He finished his iconic career with a .342 batting average, 2,873 hits and 714 Home Runs.

This 1927 American League baseball is boldly signed with a black fountain pen on the sweet spot by the “Great Bambino”, Babe Ruth! Some facts about the baseball: has been authenticated by JSA as an official American League 1927 baseball complete with President B. Bancroft “Ban” Johnson stamped seal. PSA/DNA mentions a faded vintage inscription on the baseball which reads “1927 Pittsburgh vs. Yankees”. Both the JSA and PSA letters mentioned that a small part of the Babe Ruth signature has been enhanced. It cannot be confirmed whether Ruth or some unknown hand did the slight enhancement that’s barely detectable to the human eye.

Most Baseball fans know that 1927 was the year of the “Yankees Murderer’s Row” which is considered the “Greatest team ever assembled”.
