The First Special Service Force was an elite force of commandos in World War II. A unique force comprised of both American and Canadian troops, the Devil's Brigade trained at Fort William Henry Harrison in Montana before being deployed to the Aleutian Islands, Italy, and France. They frequently operated at night and behind enemy lines with black boot polish on their faces to aid in camouflage, which led to their nickname. The Devil's Brigade consisted of just 1,800 men but inflicted over 12,000 enemy casualites.

This coin, released in 2015, commemorates the joint effort between the allied nations of Canada and the US. The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, while the reverse displays the Devil's Brigade logo surrounded by a star and a maple leaf. It is made from .9999 pure Canadian silver, making it one of the purest silver coins available anywhere. A very limited run of these coins was struck.
