Rawlings Official American League Baseball has been hand-signed by Mickey Mantle, Enos Slaughter, Whitey Ford, Moose Skowron, Hank Bauer and Johnny Blanchard (New York Yankees).

The 1959 New York Yankees were a Major League Baseball team based in the Bronx, New York. Coached by Casey Stengel, the Yankees finished the regular season with a record of 79 wins and 75 losses, placing them in third place in the American League.

Although the Yankees did not make it to the postseason in 1959, they had several notable players on their roster. Mickey Mantle was the team's star player, known for his power-hitting and speed. In 1959, he had a strong season, batting .285 with 31 home runs and 75 runs batted in.

Other key players on the 1959 Yankees included Yogi Berra, Johnny Blanchard, Whitey Ford, and Elston Howard. Berra, a Hall of Fame catcher, contributed both offensively and defensively. Ford, a left-handed pitcher, was one of the team's most reliable starters. Howard, an outfielder and catcher, won the American League Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award that year.

Despite having talented players, the 1959 Yankees faced stiff competition from the Chicago White Sox and the Cleveland Indians, who finished first and second in the American League, respectively. It was the only season from 1949 to 1964 that the Yankees did not win the American League pennant.

The 1959 season marked the end of an era for the Yankees, as it was the last season in which Casey Stengel managed the team. Stengel had led the Yankees to multiple World Series championships during his tenure.

The autograph includes an official Beckett Authentication Services hologram and matching LOA for authenticity purposes.
