With the help of a helicopter pilot, Gabato (played by Luis Guzmán), and his daughter, Kailani (played by Vanessa Hudgens), the group sets out on a journey to find the mythical island, which is believed to be the same island described in Jules Verne's books. Along the way, they encounter various perils and obstacles, including dangerous creatures, challenging landscapes, and unexpected surprises.

Upon reaching the island, the group discovers a world of fantastical wonders, including massive creatures, breathtaking landscapes, and long-lost treasures. They also encounter the enigmatic and eccentric explorer Alexander Anderson (played by Michael Caine), who claims to be the grandfather of Sean.

As they explore the island and its mysteries, the group must work together to overcome the challenges and find a way to escape the island's impending doom. The island is slowly sinking into the sea, and time is running out for them to make it out alive.
