Spalding Wide Channel NBA official size and weight basketball has been hand-signed by Wilt Chamberlain (D. 1999, Philadelphia Warriors, HOF).

Wilt Chamberlain, often referred to simply as "Wilt the Stilt," was an American basketball player widely regarded as one of the most dominant and prolific players in the history of the sport. He was born on August 21, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and he passed away on October 12, 1999.

Wilt Chamberlain's basketball career began at the University of Kansas, where he played college basketball and earned several accolades. He later joined the NBA and had an illustrious professional career that spanned from 1959 to 1973.

Chamberlain is perhaps best known for his incredible scoring ability and his imposing physical presence. Standing at 7 feet 1 inch (2.16 meters) tall, he was a dominant force on the basketball court. Throughout his career, he set numerous records and achieved remarkable feats that have yet to be surpassed.

One of his most famous accomplishments came on March 2, 1962, when he scored an astounding 100 points in a single game while playing for the Philadelphia Warriors against the New York Knicks. This remains the highest individual point total in a single NBA game.

Wilt Chamberlain was a prolific rebounder and shot blocker as well. He led the league in rebounding numerous times and had a reputation for his physicality and athleticism on both ends of the court.

During his career, Chamberlain played for the Philadelphia/San Francisco Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angeles Lakers. He won two NBA championships, one with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1967 and another with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1972.

Chamberlain was a 13-time NBA All-Star, a four-time MVP (Most Valuable Player), and a seven-time scoring champion. He retired as the NBA's all-time leading scorer, a record that stood until Kareem Abdul-Jabbar surpassed it in the 1980s.

After his playing career, Wilt Chamberlain remained involved in various ventures, including acting, business, and coaching. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1978.

Wilt Chamberlain's legacy in basketball is unmatched, and he remains one of the most iconic figures in the history of the sport. His records and achievements continue to be celebrated and remembered by basketball fans and players alike.
