J. Edgar Hoover Signed Original 1950 FBI Letter with Original "Baby Face" Nelson FBI Wanted Poster in Custom Framed Display (PSA)

Custom frame measures 16" x 36" in size and features a vintage original official FBI letter, dated August 22nd, 1950, that hand-signed by J. Edgar Hoover (D. 1972). The framed display also features an original "Baby Face" Nelson crime poster dated April 25th, 1934 and a typed letter from J. Edgar Hoover dated December 4th, 1934.

J. Edgar Hoover and Baby Face Nelson were two prominent figures in the criminal landscape of 20th-century America, albeit on opposing sides of the law. J. Edgar Hoover served as the first Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from 1924 until his death in 1972. Hoover was known for his unwavering dedication to law enforcement and his determination to combat organized crime. He transformed the FBI into a powerful and influential agency, using innovative investigative techniques to apprehend notorious criminals like John Dillinger, "Pretty Boy" Floyd, and Baby Face Nelson.

Baby Face Nelson, whose real name was Lester Joseph Gillis, was a notorious gangster during the Great Depression era. He was a ruthless and violent criminal who was responsible for a string of bank robberies, murders, and kidnappings. Nelson was known for his aggressive demeanor and his willingness to engage in shootouts with law enforcement. His criminal activities put him at odds with J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI. In fact, it was FBI agents who ultimately engaged in a deadly shootout with Nelson in November 1934, leading to his death.

These two figures represent contrasting sides of the law enforcement battle during a tumultuous period in American history, with Hoover dedicated to upholding the law and Nelson as one of the most notorious criminals of his time.
