Bo Nickal is a notable American mixed martial artist competing in the UFC middleweight division. He had a successful wrestling career, winning the 2019 U23 World Championship in freestyle wrestling, as well as the US Open National championship. Nickal was a finalist at the 2020 US Olympic Team Trials and a 2019 Final X contestant.

In his college wrestling days at Pennsylvania State University, Nickal achieved three NCAA Division I National Championships and three Big Ten Conference championships. He received numerous accolades, including the 2019 Dan Hodge Trophy for the nation's most outstanding collegiate wrestler, two Schalles Awards for being the best pinner, and the title of 2019 Big Ten Athlete of the Year. He is regarded as one of the most accomplished Nittany Lions in history.
