This 1954 World Series Louisville Slugger baseball bat was designed and created for Willie Mays but is deemed as an "error" bat because the length is (1) inch shorter and (3) ounces lighter than typical bats that Mays played with. This bat was created for Mays for the 1954 World Series along with two other bats that are the correct size. Because this bat was smaller, it is believed that Mays gifted the bat to his Hall of Fame teammate, Willie McCovey!

Note that this is the only 1954 Mays World Series bat that has surfaced making this the only opportunity to own this incredible piece of baseball history.

From 1956-1958, McCovey ordered baseball bats that were (34) inches long and weighed between (31-33) ounces. This error bat is (34) inches long and weights (30.9) ounces, which is consistent with the baseball bats that McCovey had used before. This baseball bat shows many game-used features such as a cracked handle, cleat marks, and many ball marks! PSA has attributed the use of the bat to McCovey.
