Other notable signers on the baseball include Ewell Blackwell, Ted Kluszewski, and Hank Sauer.
Note, there are six unidentifiable signatures on the baseball.
In 1948, Babe Ruth briefly joined the Cincinnati Reds as a vice president in a largely symbolic role, marking one of his final connections to Major League Baseball. Although Ruth had long retired from playing, his presence in the Reds' organization was more of a public relations move, as his larger-than-life persona still drew widespread attention. Despite Ruth's iconic status, the Reds struggled that year, finishing near the bottom of the National League standings. His involvement with the team was short-lived, and the 1948 season became one of Ruth's last official ties to professional baseball before his death later that year.
The baseball includes an official James Spence Authentication (JSA) hologram and matching LOA for authenticity purposes.
