In "Back to the Future Part II," Marty McFly dons a pair of iconic self-lacing sneakers known as the Nike MAGs. These futuristic sneakers, designed by Tinker Hatfield, feature a distinctive high-top design with glowing LED accents and, most notably, an automatic lacing system. The self-lacing feature was purely a product of science fiction when the film was released in 1989. However, in the years since, Nike has turned this cinematic concept into a reality. In 2015, Nike released a limited edition of the Nike MAGs with actual self-lacing technology, fulfilling the dreams of many fans who wanted to own a piece of the future as depicted in the movie.
